The Bay City John Glenn Bobcats began their 2022 campaign on Thursday night on the road. They travelled to Clio for a date with the Mustangs. It was a lopsided affair, as John Glenn returned home with a 42-8 victory.
The victors raced out to a 42-0 lead, before Head Coach Jonathan Horton turned it over to his reserves. It was an impressively physical defensive showing for the Bobcats. Garett Forgash led that charge with 12 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and a sack.
Carson Dabrowski had just four carries, but he turned those into 70 yards. Dabrowski also had four receptions, recording 120 yards and two scores. Logan DeMarest has a team high 17 carries, converting those into 137 yards and two touchdowns.
Quarterback Brody Kryzsiak finished 5/6 passing for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Cam Krzyminski and Lane Huizar each added to the scoring tally with one-yard touchdown runs.
With the win, John Glenn starts 1-0 for the fourth straight season. They will look to advance to 2-0 when they start TVC Central play next week against Birch Run.
