Central Montcalm 72 Morley Stanwood 63: The Hornets won a CSAA crossover game against the Mohawks. Trey Chapin led CM with 26 points, Isaac Berglund added 14 points, and Fisher Hill recorded his first double-double of the year with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Coldwater 64 Edwardsburg 51: The Cardinals edged the Eddies in a non-league battle on Monday night. A 19-6 lead after the first quarter turned into a 35-16 halftime advantage. The Eddies won the second half, but they were too far behind to complete the comeback. Luke Stowasser (14) and Jacob Pegura (12) led Edwardsburg in scoring. Bradley Moore (17) and Ethan Crabtree (13) paced the victorious Coldwater squad.

Gull Lake 63 Loy Norrix 40

Lakeview 64 Hesperia 39: The Wildcats edged the Panthers in CSAA-Silver play on Monday. Lakeview built a 23-5 lead after the first quarter, a margin insurmountable for Hesperia. Lucas Simon led Lakeview with 24 points, while Maddox Mosley (13) led Hesperia in scoring. A strong defensive effort by the Wildcats forced Hesperia into committing 29 turnovers.

Ludington 67 Fremont 53

North Muskegon 47 Holton 40: Holton jumped out to a lead as large as twelve points and held the lead through three quarters (32-28), but a strong fourth quarter lifted the Norsemen to a non-league victory over the Red Devils. North Muskegon took a 40-38 lead, Holton responded with a tying field goal, and Troy McManus’ triple put the Norsemen ahead for good. Troy McManus (16), Brennen McManus (13) and Denny Belmonte (9) led North Muskegon in scoring, while Aidan Poling (13 points) and Wyatt Monette (12 points, 7 rebounds) paced Holton.

Oakridge 56 Shelby 47

Orchard View 88 Kent City 42: The Cardinals cruised to their thirteenth straight victory to start the 2021 campaign. A 30-7 tally in the second quarter, followed by 20-6 in the third quarter, propelled Orchard View to a huge lead. Jay Jay Tunstull led OV’s offense with 32 points, while Ke’ontae Barnes had 22 points and 11 steals. Barnes set a new school record in career points, passing Brian Montonati (’95) who had 1,461 points. On the season, Barnes is currently averaging 25.8 points per game.

Otsego 61 Allegan 36: The Bulldogs captured a victory on Monday night against Allegan in Wolverine Conference action. Jackson Dentler was the key cog in the Otsego offense, as he had 22 points to lead all scorers.

Three Rivers 51 Sturgis 48

White Cloud 50 Walkerville 38: The Indians recorded a non-league victory, taking down the Wildcats on Monday night. White Cloud saw all ten players step on the floor and contribute to this win. Mason Ruether led the team with 21 points, Sam Venema added 8 points, and both Dexter Cox and Alex Cruzan finished with 6 points.

Whitehall 74 Ravenna 56: The Vikings captured a victory in WMC action against the Bulldogs. It was a close game early, Whitehall led by six at halftime, but a 25-14 advantage in the third quarter expanded that lead. Dayton Cole had a remarkable double-double for Whitehall with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Andrew Durbin added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Ravenna was led by Grant Becklin, who had 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals.

Kent City 54 Muskegon 29: The Eagles made a statement by taking down a perennially strong program with ease. Kenzie Bowers had 21 points to lead Kent City, while Jenna Harrison added 14 points and Madelyn Geers finished with 11.

Newaygo 48 Big Rapids 34: The Lions dealt Big Rapids their second loss in CSAA-Gold play, creating some distance in the standings. Now 10-0 in league play, Newaygo got out to an 18-6 lead after the first quarter. Emmerson Goodin had 18 points, 14 in the second half, and 10 rebounds for the victorious Newaygo bunch. Jaxi Long added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, while Jaylee Long posted a final line of 7 points and 5 assists.

Otsego 57 Allegan 49: The Bulldogs bested the Tigers in Wolverine Conference action. Jayden Jameson had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals, hitting 7/8 from the charity stripe down the stretch. Cali Miller led all scorers with 16 points for the victorious Otsego crew.

Shelby 45 North Muskegon 33: The Tigers won the first three quarters, building a 37-20 lead before North Muskegon closed the gap in the final margin. A strong Shelby defense forced North Muskegon into shooting 8/40 from the field. Kendall Zoulek provided the main offense for Shelby, as she finished with 22 points and 8 rebounds. Lexi Schultz added 6 points and 7 rebounds.

Standish Sterling 68 Pinconning 25: The Panthers captured a non-league victory on Monday night, dominating the Spartans. Elle Adrian led Standish with 20 points and 5 rebounds, while Macey Fegan scored 17 points.

Whitehall 56 Fremont 41: The Vikings won a non-league contest against the Packers on Monday night. Whitehall built a 21-2 cushion after the first quarter and never looked back. Greta Hosticka led the Vikings with 16 points, while Karleigh Jeffries added 12.
