The Tri-Valley Central season started with a matchup of two of the perennial powers, Frankenmuth and Freeland. It appears that the Frankenmuth football team will be a strong contender in the league, as they delivered a statement victory against the Falcons, 41-3.

Freeland started the game with the only score of the first quarter, as they went fifty-eight yards to set up a thirty-two yard field goal by Jacob Kudinger. After this early kick, the Falcons would not score again.

In the second quarter, Cole Lindow gave Frankenmuth the lead with a twenty yard touchdown run. The Eagles added a field goal of twenty-six yards by Ryan Brenner to make it 10-3 Frankenmuth at the half.

Konnor Roche started the second half scoring with an explosive sixty-nine yard touchdown for Frankenmuth. Before the quarter was done, the Eagles’ defense would add seven points to their tally as they pounced on a loose football in the end zone.

Ahead 24-3, Davin Reif extended the Eagles’ lead even further with a forty-six yard touchdown run. After another Ryan Brenner field goal, Hunter Leddy forty-five yard touchdown run extended the game to their final margin of 41-3.

Frankenmuth will have another extremely tall test next week when they travel to Swan Valley (1-0) in a game that very well may decide the TVC-Central title in just the second game. Freeland will try to pick up their first win against Alma, the Panthers coming in at 0-1. Both of these games will be broadcast LIVE on Michigan Sports Radio.
