Below is our weekly recap of the games that we covered this week, and a look at the games in the area this week!
Caledonia (3-12)
The Caledonia girls team had two games this week, and they were unable to come up with a victory. On Tuesday, they hosted Lowell. The Red Arrows came up with a 56-34 victory, as Caledonia was unable to answer some big runs. Three days later, Caledonia faced undefeated Hudsonville, the best team in West Michigan. The undefeated Eagles blitzed the Scots with hot shooting and aggressive defense, and they came away with a 68-29 victory. This week, the Scots will try and snap their four-game skid against Rockford, who is also having a successful season at 11-4.
Central Montcalm (9-6)
This week was tough for Central Montcalm, as they dropped both of their games. On Tuesday on the road at Kent City, the team just never got going in a 72-48 defeat. Three days later, Newaygo came to town for a far more competitive affair. In that game, the Hornets were in striking distance, but they could not get the victory, falling 57-52. They will have a few days to regroup before visiting Fremont next Friday.
Forest Hills Central (10-5)
The Lady Rangers had just one game this week. On Friday night, they hosted Greenville in an OK White matchup. Behind solid scoring days from Theryn Hallock, Brittney Probst and Zoe Lipke, FHC won 51-42. This victory keeps them tied with FHN atop the OK White standings at 6-1 in league play. This week, it’s a pair of road games for FHC, as they visit Cedar Springs on Tuesday and Lowell on Friday.
Rockford (11-4)
This Rams team took a step out of OK Red play on Tuesday against a very good Byron Center team. The Bulldogs are 13-1 on the season, and though Rockford gave them a great game, they fell four points shy, 52-48. On Friday night, Rockford went to Grandville to take on those Bulldogs. In that game, Rockford completed the season sweep of Grandville with a 52-35 victory. This week, the Rams will visit Caledonia on Tuesday, before hosting Grand Haven on Friday night.
