Grand Rapids Catholic Central faced little resistance in their Week 4 victory against Middleville, a 49-14 win.
The Trojans actually scored first in this game, when Drake Synder powered across the goal line from 3 yards out. Although GRCC would answer in the first quarter, they remained a point behind. Following Connor Wolf‘s 13-yard touchdown strike to Kellen Russell-Dixon, the Cougars missed the extra point.
With just under three minutes until the half, Catholic Central took the lead on a quarterback keeper from Wolf. Before half, Wolf and Jami Williams paired up for a 10-yard touchdown, giving GRCC a 20-7 lead.
This trend continued in the second half, as the Cougars outscored Middleville 29-7. Russell-Dixon paced the crew with three rushing scores, while Lucas Thelen added the final blow.
Connor Wolf finished 17/23 passing for 197 and two scores. He added 18 rushing yard and a score. Ronin Russell-Dixon turned his 10 carries into 167 yards and 3 scores.
