It was a very rare season for the Unity Christian Crusaders in 2023, as they went 4-5 to miss the playoffs with a team that was at Ford Field 2 seasons ago and champions just a few before that. But veteran coach Craig Tibber, fresh off his induction into the Michigan Coaches Association Hall of Fame will have his team back and ready to compete for titles and deep playoff wins again in all likelihood in 2024.
The ‘Saders patented up-tempo Power T offense will again be led by Jack DeHoop, who due to injury was able to get some experience starting several games down the stretch last season. Up front, Hunter Grassmid and Jayden Fles will be looked to by Coach Tibbe and the staff to lead the way in the powerful Sader rushing attack. And helping power that attack along will be the return of all of the leading backs from the 2023 offense in Nolan Vis, Max VanKoevering, and Isaac Stienstra
On Defense, U.C. will lean on a lot of the same pieces as on the offensive side of the ball to help lead the way as 2-way players. But, also look to the likes of Jared DeVries at outside linebacker to play a big role.
Unity Christian has a tough 2024 slate of games that includes the likes of Whitehall, Zeeland West, 2023 D4 state runner-up South Christian, and 2023 D3 state champion Forest Hills Central.
