Kelloggsville underwent the team’s second winless season in program history last season, and 3rd year head coach Brandon Branch and the Rockets will look to get back to winning ways in 2024. They move to a re-tooled OK-Silver this season, that features a new mix of teams that will provide a challenge and also a chance to put together a few wins for the Rockets.
The Rockets have a couple of names at QB that we may see this season, Cameron Dunbar was praised by coach Branch for a tremendous amount of work he’s put in this offseason and Quivy Armor, who has developed very well as a passer at the same time. They will be able to look to a strong offensive line led by Myrece Moore, Alberto Estrada, Jayden Galigos to help protect them and lead the way in the run game – which will see Isaak Kowel as a speedy RB and WR Danyel White (who also can provide a spark in the run game along with outside in the air attack).
Defensively the Rockets have a quick and smart LB in Terrell Jones in the middle of things to help identify what’s going on play-to-play. Jaylen Phillips is a strong DB in the coverage game, who will be joined by the speed and hard-hitting Jahki Tims and Nas Walker in the secondary.
