TEAM OUTLOOK

GR Christian will enter their 5th season with Head Coach Kirk Sundberg. The team has had back-to-back under .500 seasons, and will look to turn that around in 2024, but will have a tough schedule between OK-White and non-con opponents, as they will see the likes of South Christian, EGR, and West Catholic this season.

The Eagles will have to replace several key pieces, but have a lot of athletes and skill to fill spots with year. Sophomore Charlie King served as the team’s JV QB in 2023 and made the 2024 roster, and the talented class of 2027 signal-caller will be one to watch in the fight for the starting job. They also have a lot of great athletes that were a part of their state finals basketball team than will be key targets on offense – Led by WRs Tyler Davis and Aaron Gholston. 205 pound junior Brandt Alles will be a key part of the attack in multiple facets blocking and catching passes at TE.

On defense, some of the same players will have key roles the other ways, including Alles at OLB. Caleb Pugh is a 290 pound DT and stand-out wrestler that will see some key snaps in his sophomore season.  Davis Hutt, who started as a sophomore, will be back for his junior season at defensive end.
