The Reed City Coyotes got off to an unusually slow start this season, losing two of their first three games. Tonight was a big battle in the CSAA-Gold when they hosted the Tri-County Vikings. Their offense nearly matched their season total, scoring 50 points in the win.

Just over a minute into the game, Reed City got things rolling on a 43 yard touchdown run by Noah Jones. Quarterback Jeffrey Samuels would push the lead to 21 points when he threw a touchdown and rushed for another late in the first quarter. Before it ended, Tri-County was able to cut the lead to 14 on a Nick Braunschnieder run.

Payton Hansen was the big player for the Coyotes in the rest of this game. He broke off a 92 yard touchdown in the second quarter to expand the lead back to 21. Hansen would also add two more touchdowns in the second half on the ground to push this one out of reach.

Braunschnieder was able to toss for three touchdowns the remainder of the way, but the Vikings were never able to get very close in this one. They ultimately fell 50-26.

Reed City is now 2-2 on the year and they will be taking on Chippewa Hills next week. For Tri-County, they also are 2-2 on the year. They will look to bounce back against Grant next Friday night.
