Two weeks remain in the girls basketball regular season, and there was plenty to play for on Tuesday night. The OK Green title was on the line between undefeated Hamilton and Byron Center, and plenty of other key games in conference races went down.

TUESDAY’S SCORES

Zeeland East 60 Covenant Christian 25

Grand Rapids Christian 35 Forest Hills Eastern 33

West Michigan Aviation Academy 49 Wyoming Lee 12

The Aviators took a night off from the Alliance League matchups for a non-conference home game against the Lee Rebels. This was the second meeting of the season between these two teams, with WMAA winning the road contest back in December 51-13. Victory on Tuesday night snapped a four game skid for WMAA, and hopefully it will springboard them into a nice push to the playoffs. Their final regular season game takes place on Thursday against Algoma Christian.

Jenison 52 Fruitport 14

Grand Rapids Northview 56 Middleville 31

Muskegon 79 Mona Shores 31

With the OK Black already wrapped up, the Big Reds still flashed their muscle with a blowout win over crosstown Mona Shores. Muskegon, ranked #7 in the MSR Power Poll, is now 13-4 on the season. They have a home game Friday against Fruitport to try and finish the OK Black with a perfect 12-0 mark.

East Grand Rapids 84 Wyoming 54

Kent City 60 Cedar Springs 45

Comstock Park 49 Coopersville 46

The Panthers got a huge victory over Coopersville on Tuesday night. This three-point win gave Comstock Park their eighth OK Blue win, and more importantly, it gave the Broncos their second OK Blue loss. With this result, and the Catholic Central win (below), there is now a three-way tie in the OK Blue. Tomorrow’s game between Comstock Park and Catholic Central will go a long way in determining who can win the league title.

Grand Rapids Catholic Central 55 Sparta 27

Portland 56 Belding 22

Holland Christian 56 Holland 51

Hamilton 60 Byron Center 18

The OK Green Conference title was on the line for the Hawkeyes. With an undefeated record, Hamilton needed just one win in the final two league games to clinch the championship. After a 19-point victory back in January, Hamilton was definitely the favorite heading into Tuesday night’s game, but nobody expected the domination that they displayed. The win clinched the outright OK Green title for Hamilton and preserves their undefeated 17-0 record.

Zeeland West 42 Unity Christian 37

Reeths-Puffer 73 Oakridge 50

Allendale 45 West Catholic 35

Hudsonville 53 Rockford 52

The Rams, ranked #2 in the MSR Power Poll, were upset on the road by the Eagles on Tuesday night. This loss now gives Rockford their second league loss, meaning that there is a three way tie in the OK Red standings with Grand Haven and East Kentwood.

South Christian 52 Wayland Union 34

Grand Haven 47 Caledonia 31

East Kentwood 60 Grandville 30

Tri-County 48 Fremont 44

The only team outside the OK Conference ranked in the MSR Power Poll, the Vikings faced a tough road contest on Tuesday night against Fremont. For the second time this season, they pulled out a victory over the Packers. Tri-County is now winners of eight of their last nine, and they wrap up league play with their Friday contest against undefeated Stanton Central Montcalm.
