The MHSAA Playoffs have reached the semifinals, and four teams remain from the OK Conference. The Michigan Sports Radio team will be LIVE at a pair of contests. A brief preview of these games can be found below.

The Falcons are just one win away from their sixth straight trip to Ford Field. Last week, they squeaked out a victory on the road at Portland to reach the semifinals. Previously in the state tournament, they have defeated Berrien Springs and Kalamazoo United to reach Saturday’s game.

Their opponent, the Eagles of Frankenmuth enter the game undefeated on the season. Last week, they bested Algonac to reach the state semifinals. Previously in the playoffs, they knocked off Almont and Marine City. This is the second consecutive semifinals appearance for the Eagles, as they lost to Menominee 23-20.

These two teams have never met before. The Falcons are looking for their sixth straight trip to the state championship game, while Frankenmuth is looking for their first ever trip to Ford Field.

The Rangers of Forest Hills Central have put together a strong season, winning all eleven games. So far in the playoffs, they have defeated Mattawan, Mona Shores and Traverse City Central. In their first playoff semifinals appearance since 1995, they will look to make the State Championship game for the first time since 1994.

Their opponent, the Patriots of Livonia Franklin are on an eight-game winning streak of their own. After a 2-2 start, they have played very strong football in reaching the semifinals. In the district finals, they avenged an earlier loss to rival Livonia Churchill. Their other playoff wins include victories over Walled Lake Western and Flushing. They are looking for their first trip to the finals since 1975 when they won the Class A Championship at the Pontiac Silverdome.
