For the fourth time in a row, the West Catholic Falcons are the MHSAA Division 5 State Champions. The Falcon defense forced four turnovers on the first five Menominee drives en route to a 43-7 blowout victory.

Throughout the season, West Catholic’s defense allowed more than three touchdowns just twice, as they allowed an average of 10.4 points per game. Their strength of schedule is also worth noting as they defeated both the Division 4 (Catholic Central) and Division 6 (Jackson Lumen Christi) state champions during the regular season. The Falcons split the OK Blue Conference title with Catholic Central and Allendale.

The Falcons join Muskegon Catholic Central (Division 8) as the first teams to win four consecutive state championships since Ithaca won four division six titles from 2010-2013.
