West Catholic has won sixteen of their last seventeen games dating back to last season. This week, they continued their strand of dominance as they handily defeated traditional OK Blue power Comstock Park 61-7.

The Falcons wasted no time in scoring as Alex Fortier scored just twenty seconds into the game to put West Catholic up 7-0. Fortier would find the end zone three more times in the game as they led 41-7 at halftime.

In the second half, they padded on twenty additional points to reach the eventual 61-7 margin. West Catholic controlled this game from the start as they outgained Comstock Park 474-79. The Panthers actually outgained West Catholic in passing yards 175-142, but the ground game was a completely different story. West Catholic had 332 yards rushing on 43 carries, while Comstock Park was held to just four yards on 26 carries.

Three turnovers also doomed the Panthers, who now sit at 2-4 on the season. They now need to win out to have any chance at making the postseason, and they take on 6-0 Catholic Central next Friday night. For West Catholic, they are now 5-1 in 2016, and are tied with Catholic Central for the lead in the OK Blue Conference. Those two teams will meet in two weeks, but first the Falcons will take on the Spartans of Sparta.
