These teams have faced each other each of the past five seasons, and Hudsonville holds a 4-1 edge, their lone loss coming in 2012.
Coopersville @ Hamilton
Both teams are coming off convincing season opening wins, as the Broncos defeated Fruitport and Hamilton took care of Middleville. Coopersville is looking for their second consecutive 2-0 start, while Hamilton can match last season’s win total with a win Thursday. These teams have played every season since 2008, splitting the series. Coopersville was victorious in last year’s meeting 40-12.
Tri-County @ Central Montcalm
After a tough season-opening loss to Lakeview, Tri-County will try and bounce back this Thursday against the Hornets of Central Montcalm in the opening game of CSAA-Gold play for both teams. These schools have met 29 times with Tri-County holding a 15-14 edge, however they have only met twice as conference foes (1-1 split including a 41-27 Tri-County win last season).
Chesaning @ Freeland
After a 22-6 win over Bay City John Glenn to start 2016, Freeland will host the Chesaning Indians in the first game of league play in the Tri Valley-Central. Freeland has never lost to Chesaning, defeating them each of the past ten seasons.
Comstock Park @ Wyoming
Following a victory in Week 1 against Northview, Comstock Park will travel to Wyoming to take on the 1-0 Wolves. Comstock Park and Wyoming were both members of the OK Blue in 2012 and 2013, and Comstock Park has won against Wyoming each of the past four years.
West Catholic @ Muskegon Heights
The Falcons were very impressive in a dominating win over Jackson Lumen Christi in their season opener. This Thursday, they will take on Muskegon Heights who won their season opener last week against Baldwin. These two schools have never met before, but the speed of the Tigers will be a test for West Catholic.
