Freeland Racks Up Another Conference Win Against Shepherd

The Freeland Falcons won their twenty-fourth consecutive regular season game Friday night, when they topped Shepherd 42-20. Things looked good on the first drive as the Falcons drove all the way to the Shepherd ten-yard line. The drive then stalled, but they would get their points just a few plays later. When Shepherd lined up to punt, the Falcons got a block and Jacob Foco scooped it up and took it to the end zone for a touchdown. Big Rapids Tops Tri-County in CSAA Action

The Big Rapids Cardinals and Tri-County Vikings faced off Friday night in CSAA-Gold action. A back and forth game ended up falling Big Rapids’ way, as they walked away 28-24 winners. Leading the way for Big Rapids was their quarterback Aaron Repke. He finished the night 6/14 for 127 yards and a touchdown, as well as finishing the game as Big Rapids’ leading rusher with 65 yards on seventeen carries. One of West Michigan’s coolest traditions each year is Pink Arrow Night, a cancer awareness game hosted by the Lowell Red Arrows.
