Last week, the Freeland faithful was stunned as their boys lost their first regular season game in three seasons. This week, they tried to get back in the win column as they took on Midland Bullock Creek. There was little struggle for the Falcons in this contest, as they rolled to a 35-6 victory.

Layne Morgeli started the game with a quick 80 yard touchdown run to give the Falcons an 8-0 within the game’s first minute. Before the end of the first quarter, Freeland struck again on a big play as Travis Bright and Jack Townsend connected on an 81 yard touchdown pass to expand the lead to fifteen.

In the second quarter, Freeland fans got to experience the Garrett Metiva show as he scored all of the points in this twelve minute span. He ran for two touchdowns, from seven and nine yards out, and the latter capped off a nine play, 97 yard drive. At halftime, this game was comfortably in hand at 29-0.

The two teams would exchange touchdowns (with failed PATs) in the second half, but otherwise it was rather uneventful. Freeland would get a much needed victory by taking care of business 35-6. The Falcons improve to 4-1 on the season, 3-1 in the TVC. For Bullock Creek, they now fall to 0-4 in the TVC and 1-4 overall. Next week, Freeland has a huge conference game when they travel to Alma.
