In the final game of the entire MHSAA Boys Basketball Season on Saturday night at the Breslin Center, New Haven and Ludington faced off to determine the best team in Class B. To start Saturday’s night session of the 2017 MHSAA Boys Basketball State Championships, two basketball programs with championship pedigrees faced off in the Class C Championship. Although it has been twenty-three years since their last appearance in the state finals, Covenant Christian has three state championships in their program’s history. Foster Loyer Wins Battle of Future Spartans in MHSAA Class A Championship

Saturday’s second contest came with even higher expectations than the first. The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles, winners of all 27 of their previous contests, took on the 26-1 Clarkston Wolves in the Class A Boys Basketball Championship. Every championship game has a story line. On Saturday in the Class D Boys Basketball State Championship, experience was the difference. Sixteen teams entered the Breslin Center doors this weekend with dreams of winning a State Championship.
