Hudsonville Picks Up Road Win Against Rockford

The Rams and the Eagles, OK Red rivals, met again on the hardwood on Friday. They are four weeks removed from their previous battle in which the Eagles got a game-winner by Aidan Magsig. Tonight, the two teams played a great game in which Hudsonville pulled out a close 49-46 victory, sweeping the season series. Beachler and Branagan Lead Lowell To Pair Of Wins Over Caledonia and Cedar Springs

The Lowell Red Arrows had a pair of games this week, as they left league play to take on former OK-White foe Caledonia on the road on Tuesday, and followed that up with a Friday night road trip to Cedar Springs. With strong play by the Mighty B’s, seniors Matt Beachler and Austin Branagan,, the Red Arrows came away with two victories. TUESDAY: LOWELL 80 CALEDONIA 68 On Tuesday, the Scots and Red Arrows faced off in Caledonia in a matchup that featured three college basketball commits in Austin Branagan (Goshen), Jesse Hillis (Davenport), and Matt Beachler (Central Michigan). All three of these players showed the crowd why they have rightfully earned their roster spots at the next level with an impressive offensive display. The Scots led this game after the first quarter 18-17, and entered the locker room with a 35-34 lead. In the third quarter, the Red Arrows had a big run as they outscored the Scots 23-12. The fourth quarter was another nearly even quarter as Lowell outscored Caledonia 23-21 to win by the final score of 80-68. Caledonia was led by senior guard Jesse Hillis who scored 36 points, including 21 in the first half.
