Wyoming Scores Final Thirty Points in Huge Win Over Comstock Park

Wyoming and Comstock Park have met in each of the past four seasons, all wins by Comstock Park a combined 120-56. This year, the Wolves scored thirty unanswered points to end the game, a 37-8 blowout victory, their first ever win against the Panthers. Donnie Burritello led the Wyoming offensive charge as he found the end zone four times. He scored on a two yard run in the first quarter to open the scoring column. After Comstock Park scored in the first quarter to take the lead, Burritello responded with another two yard touchdown to give the Wolves a 16-7 halftime lead. The second half was all Wyoming as they scored 22 points. Burritello scored two more touchdowns in the second half of twenty-one and three yards respectively. Wyoming’s defense also contributed to the scoring column as they saftied Comstock Park in the fourth quarter. For the Wolves, the 2-0 start is their best since 2012, when they won a program record five games. They will begin OK Gold conference play next week as they host Grand Rapids Christian. Hudsonville Blows Out Holt to Start 2-0

For the second week in a row, the Hudsonville Eagles took on a member of the CAAC-Blue as they travelled to Holt Thursday night after a 21-14 win over Grand Ledge a week ago. This week, Hudsonville had a far easier time as the absolutely dominated Holt from the start in a 38-7 win. Hudsonville scored on their first four offensive drives to take a commanding 28-0 halftime lead. Jack Mandryk opened the scoring with a 18 yard touchdown run. On the last play of the first quarter, Mandryk took to the air as he connected with Drew Hicks for an eight yard touchdown. Mandryk hit Brice Atkins for the third touchdown in the middle of the second quarter to put the Eagles ahead 21-0. Hudsonville took a four touchdown lead into the locker room at halftime after Sami Baine scampered two yards into the end zone. The Eagles played over half of the second half with a running clock as Jomar Williams put them up 35 with 6:47 left in the third quarter. A 38 yard field goal tacked three more points onto the lead headed into the game’s fourth quarter.
