The third edition of the 2016 Remax United Power Poll has a new team at the top for the third straight week in a row. After Muskegon fell to Lincolnshire Stevenson Saturday, the Lowell Red Arrows jumped up into the top position. Fifteen voters have again submitted their polls for the third week of the Remax United Power Poll.

1-Lowell (7) 138 Last Week: 2

Lowell picked up its second marquee victory in as many weeks as they topped Rockford Friday. This week, the Red Arrows will travel to East Grand Rapids to take on the 1-1 Pioneers.

2-Muskegon (5) 122 Last Week: 1

Muskegon fell in a heartbreaking 38-35 loss to Lincolnshire Stevenson at home Saturday afternoon, knocking them off of the top spot in this week’s Power Poll. The Big Reds start OK Black play Friday when they travel to Fruitport.

3-East Kentwood (3) 118 Last Week: 3

After struggling early on in the game, the Falcons took down East Lansing 29-7 to improve to 2-0. East Kentwood will start OK Red play Friday when they host sixth ranked Hudsonville.

4-Zeeland West 105 Last Week: 4

The Dux won a thriller against Mona Shores Thursday night, squeaking out a narrow 32-28 victory. Zeeland West has a huge game as they travel to fifth ranked West Catholic this week in a matchup of reigning state champions.

5-West Catholic 76 Last Week: 5

The Falcons dominated Muskegon Heights Thursday with a flurry of offense in the game’s first half. Their offense will be put to the test in a battle of defending state champions when they host number four Zeeland West.

6-Hudsonville 62 Last Week: 10

The Eagles dominated a CAAC-Blue team for the second week in a row as they blew out Holt 38-7. OK Red play starts this week for Hudsonville as they travel to third ranked East Kentwood.

7-Grandville 46 Last Week: 8

The third ranked team in the OK Red Conference, Grandville defeated Lansing Sexton 52-14. They are now outscoring opponents 96-14. This week the Bulldogs will host Grand Haven in their conference opener.

8-GR Catholic Central 45 Last Week: 7

The Cougars handily defeated St. Johns this week, a 48-15 win. Week three is the start of OK Blue play for Catholic Central as they will travel to Allendale.

9-Grand Rapids Christian 29 Last Week: NR

The Eagles have entered the poll for the first time this season after two straight weeks as the first team out. Grand Rapids Christian defeated Caledonia Friday 35-19 and will travel to Wyoming in their league opener this weekend.

10-Freeland 24 Last Week: NR

Despite being a team outside the OK Conference, the Falcons have entered the Power Poll. At 2-0, coming off a 41-18 win over Chesaning, the Falcons are in first in the Tri-Valley Central. This week they travel to Carrollton.
